Machine-specific application options

The R3 Spinning Machine is designed specifically for high-speed forming of precise, rotationally symmetric hollow bodies with constant or variable wall thicknesses. A wide range of additional geometries – such as grooves or recesses – can also be produced. The machine is often used to manufacture sheet-metal cups that are later splined on the T12 cold forming machine or the i9 Internal Forming Machine. In this process, a circular metal blank is formed into a cup by applying so-called spinning rollers onto a spinning mandrel. In many production setups, the machines are linked into a production line and operate fully automatically in multi-shift environments.
